No wonder, it has tremendously become a popular choice among parents. I’m no exception to this brand and thought by giving a review on one of their products, would give some useful insights to new parents out there. So, I would be glad to share my review on one of their famous products, Drypers Wee Wee Dry.

If you browse over the packaging, you’ll notice all of these products key features. Altogether they are 6 intriguing features. The maker claim that the new Lilac layer material will absorb quickly and distribute evenly, thus keeping your baby’s skin dry and comfortable.

Second feature, the TummyFIT Guide™ is specifically designed to help you fasten the Flexi-Tape at the most ideal position. It also works together with the Stretchable Waist Band & Leak Guards by ensuring best fit while at the same time prevent leakage.

It also has the Stretchable Waist Band and Leak Guards features which comfortably hugs your baby’s waist to ensure no leakage.

The Flexi-Tape™ claims that it can be refastened multiple times. Works with TummyFIT guide, it will guide you whether the diaper size is the best fit, good fit, or time to change to a bigger size.

Many diaper maker claims that they’re using cloth-like Cover. Drypers is also one of those. The maker even put a remark saying that the cloth-like cover is 100% breathable, thus keeping your baby cool and fresh.

Well, how true all of these claims are? Read until the end of this post if you’re wondering how legit they are.

Impression By Feature

The Drypers Wee Wee Dry is a tape diaper type. The product does not mention any information related to the maximum urine capacity it could hold. So, I literally tried it on my 10 months old baby within a continuous 1 week. Here’s what I thought.

The maximum it can last is between 5 to 6 hours. ( I’m a little disappointed as  I could not rely on this for night use). If it goes longer than 6 hours, you will end up exposing your little baby’s bum in a wet and itchy condition. So, exchanging every 6 hours is a must!

(Left: After 6 hours, Right: Before Usage)

The above photo shows side by side comparison between before and after 6 hours of usage. (Left side: After 6 hours, Right side: Neutral condition).

As you may see on the left side, the diaper looked yellowish, as it had been saturated with my baby’s urine. There was still plenty of empty areas, but I prefer nappy change every 6 hours because the urine saturated area stayed wet.

For me, despite having vast amount of absorbent layers (6 absorbent layers would sound waterproof, right?), it still doesn’t have that long absorbing power. So, with Drypers Wee Wee Dry, your baby will need an average of five nappy changing in 24 hours.

  • Maximum drying effect 6 hours.
  • After reaching the maximum hours, diaper stays wet.

With a maximum of 6 hours of usage, there is no leakage. Well, thanks to its TummyFIT guide and Leak Guards features, this product deserves few credits. Rest assured your baby’s stools or pees would not stain your baby’s pants.

This diaper has its own specific amount of absorbing gels but the absorbing power did not last longer than 6 hours so that explains why the surface felt very saturated when I pushed my fingers against the wet area.

  • Does not leak within max 6 hours.

The textures of the Drypers Wee Wee Dry’s inner surface is comparable to its Drypantz series; a bit plastic-like material, and I could not convince myself whether it can be classified as soft. If compared to its premium line up, Drypers Touch (right side), it is like comparing a Diamond and a Silver.

Well, let’s not forget the price difference do brings huge quality difference, so it would be unfair to compare those two. That being said, Drypers Wee Wee Dry has a pretty decent quality sheet surface.

  • Pretty decent diaper surface quality

Let’s talk about comfort. Did my baby feel comfortable wearing this? The thickness of Drypers Wee Wee Dry is comparable to Drypants and Drypers Touch.

I would rate this as medium-thick;-Not too thick, not too thin. My baby’s bum did not sweat too much, which signed good breathability. So, the 100% clothlike breathability feature is a legit claim.

Now, how about the waist and leg area? You can tell from the photos below, Drypers Wee Wee Dry has an acceptable standard quality of waist and side gathers which are stretchable, thanks to its elastic band.

With these essential features, my baby can move freely and actively without worrying about wetting his pants.

  • Medium-thick
  • Pretty decent quality surface
  • Good waist and side gather elasticity

For Sensitive Skin

Judging based on personal observation, my 10 months old baby’s bum did not develop itchiness or rashes when wearing this diaper. However, there’s no specific statement mentioning the hypoallergenic status so I doubt whether it suits newborn.

Again, if you’re uncertain about your baby’s skin sensitivity, I would recommend getting a sample from their official website first.

  • Hypoallergenic status is arguable (non related information)

This product is indeed value for money IF you’re planning to wear it on your baby ONLY during the daytime.

Convenience to Parent

(Left: Drypers Touch, Right: Drypers Wee Wee Dry)

I didn’t notice the functionality of the fancy design printed on the waist area until I read the product’s overall key features. That colourful print is meant to guide you how fit these size is, when put on your baby.

Overall there are 3 indications: Best Fit (blue), Good Fit (green), Next Size (red). I personally do not need this feature but this may be beneficial to anyone that has just become parents.

The Flexi-Tape, on the other hand, brings so much convenient. It can be refastened multiple times, so you can keep the dirty diaper (especially full with dirty stools) secured.

  • Flexi-Tape can be refastened million times

Final Thoughts

In overall, based on my personal experience, Drypers Wee Wee Dry by far is the best Daytime Tape diaper for my little baby. It’s highly reliable, comes in pretty decent quality, and most importantly not sold in sky-high price. Not only it can be awarded the Best Daytime Tape diaper, but it can also proudly be the winner of Parents All Time Favorite as well.
